I think I've got a little leak out of the crimped end at the caliper, seems to be a common problem so anything better than the 'new' BH90 hose ?

The tubing diameter is different - so old-style Shimano tubing isn't any good, apparently. I don't know if there are any aftermarket kits, but if they are they'd need to be different diameter to older Shimano brakes.

Is there anything wrong with the Shimano hose?

whatever you replace the shimano cable with, make sure that all the appropriate connectors are supplied before you launch into the task.

sounds kinda obvious, but in my case I purchased a (i) jagwire hose and (ii) the connector kit for m785 xt brakes.

problem is that the connector kit does not include the 'female' connector that screws onto jagwires brass banjo. so I am trying to get an avid? banjo to work with the system.

not taking a poke at jagwire as such, but maybe their instructions and web videos could be more idiot-proof?

good luck!
