For town bike type stuff I can see why - an electric bike with sensors on pedals for extra boost like some already do, and a squeeze if you want to stop with ABS...great. And as ever size will come down with time...

a doc martin sole in between the seattube and tyre was my *wireless brake of choice as a kid.

(* if by wireless you actually mean cable/hoseless) 😉
