We don't seem have done this since 2016 so....

Recommend me a new commuting jacket for the colder months.

Needs to be:

High-Viz and Reflective

Waterproof

Breathable

Look Good

Ideally less than £150

(Possibly not technically fully waterproof as the seams aren't sealed)

columbia Outdry off sport pursuit in bright yellow . 54.95.

Works bloody well , i have an outdry caldorado/montrail and have been really impressed with it - packs down so small i can have it tucked away in my pannier all the time.

Decathlon's best shell jacket. Think mine was £60. Has massive pit zips, hood, fully taped seams. 2 year guarantee and when you bin it on ice, it's cheap to replace.

If you want a versatile jersey rather than a hardshell then I rate my Stolen Goat Orkaan.  It's been fine down to about 5 degrees on its own, and colder with a layer under it/  Not as waterproof as a full hard shell but I boil in the bag anyway so the Orkaan's comfort scores higher.  Big reflective patch on the back, and comes in a range of colours (mainly via SG website than resellers).

I've got a Sugoi Zap, which is supposed to do similar, but you can't tell when you're wearing it. It's not fully waterproof though.

Endura Urban Luminite looks pretty good, both in pictures and in the flesh - not used it yet mind you

I was given a planet X rain jacket: not expensive, not bad on breathability and it has reflective stuff, they also do the pro-viz version that would light you up like a Christmas tree if that's your thing

usual caveats about 'there is a finite limit on breathability' apply as they do to all rainjackets

I've had a Stolen Goat Orkaan and although the water repellency of the fabric is impressive, it isnt very windproof and I felt cold in it.  I replaced it with a Castelli Perfetto, and whilst these are not waterproof they are much more versatile in a range of conditions down to snow IMHO.  In very heavy rain in cold conditions, i.e. 3-4c then I might think about a different garment, but for 95% of winter cycling its great
