[Closed] New wheels, chain catching in smallest cog

Bit of a puzzler and not really noticed until giving the bike a quick once over after a couple of rides.

Bought a s/hand Norco Sight for my daughter and upgraded the wheels at the same time to save her some mass.

Was always 1x11 with XD mounted cassette, but the new Reynolds Carbon wheels with I9 hubs seem to bring the cassette far too close to the chainstay and mech hanger when in the lowest gear.

Does anybody know why this could be - am I missing a spacer, or have the wrong one, in the hub?
The cassette is torqued correctly and has no obstructions and it was 1x11 previously and believe it didn't catch, although I can't 100% remember.

Not sure if the derailleur hanger is bent slightly but can't see how it could affect the top of the cassette as the chain has wrapped around cassette at that point, irrespective of what the hanger is doing.

For now I've adjusted the limit screws to prevent it dropping into the small cog.

I’d check mech hanger alignment as it gets increasingly critical with 11/12 speed. You do get some variation in cassette alignment too due to small differences in frame drop-outs, tolerances in hub manufacture.

Have you got a spacer behind the cassette that isn’t needed?

There is no spacer as it’s an XD cassette.

Think I’m going to try it on the old wheel as it’s the original and should fit perfectly.

Apparently the 142x12 I9 hub a a single piece axle, so no spacers etc needed in there.

Looking like it can only be the cassette or maybe the freewheel itself that isn’t on properly - just can’t visualise it.
