Hi all..........I need new tyres for my Malt 4 hardtail. Any recommendations would be good.

I ride mainly tracks and trails with occasional southdowns but that is occasional. Mainly stuff like Surrey Hills/Wales. I currently ride with 2.1s but would not mind something a bit fatter as found last time at Afan (Whites_ it was a little rocky and bumpy so I though maybe a fatter tyre maybe at 35lbs would have helped...what do you reckon.

Thanks in anticipation

what tyres you got atm?

currently loving racing ralphs (2.4) for most things and high rollers on the other bike.

I'd like to try (maxxis) crossmark rear and ardent front. both 2.25 (comes up big) as this seems to have spped out back and enough grip up front - with out being draggy.

Quite liking Maxxis AdVantages in the North Downs at the moment. The 2.1 version is probably best with the current dryness. I'm running them on two bikes - SS and FS.

Maxxis Advantage 2.25 on my Malt 4 for rocky lakes. Big, just about fit! Very pleased with them for my riding.

thanks guys...Im running panracer xc pro that I bought from Merlin. I think the Advantage 225 from TOMB could sound good although I also here the Rubber Queens from a diffrent thread also sound good.Special offer at £28 each is quite good apparently!

Thanks for all the replies so far.
