Right folks - I have a large head - fact.

I currently have a Giro Xen, size L 59-63 cm which fits fine.

I would like to update it, due to having it 2 years now.

So, i bought a Giro Xar, size L 59-63 cm - Too small??? - So sent it back.

I then bought a SixSixOne Stealth Recon, size L/XL 59-61 (i think) - Too small, so that just got sent back.

What to do now as Xen's are no longer being made, few and far between and colours are sketchy! 😕

Could just stick with the one i've got - but where is the excitement in that.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Alan.

i have a large bonce, i used to have a zen, which fitted fine. but looked big you know what i mean . .

now i have a Bell helmet, it fits with room to spare, just tighten and away you go, very comfy, light and and it doesn't look big either.

Highly recommended, . . . its not our fault we have such large expansive brains is it?

if your head is the size of planet earth, maybe the earth should wear a helmet when your ride your bike!

Steer clear of the urge endur-o-matic. I've just got one after switching from a large xen which was plenty big enough and the urge barely fits!

The Giro Feature is a nice lid.

Specialized Max is a good value trail style lid and one of the few that fits my brain! Only comes in XL iirc.

I've just picked up a Giro Feature. First helmet I don't have to run on the largest setting (Xen was on biggest for me). Quite basic adjustments but looks good and fits well.

+1 for the giro feature - fits my beluga bonce just fine, and has very good coverage at the back.

UPDATE:

Went for an XL / XXL POC Trabec Race in the end!

Excellent fit and feel, without a doubt the most well made and finished off helmet i've ever seen.

Still unsure of the huge price tag..........................

🙂
