Any recommendations for a torque wrench under £100?

Does the lifeline pro one do a good enough job or are those park tools pre-set ones better?

Seen some on Amazon too but not sure what’s good and trash!

Lifeline one is good enough - it's a generic model sold by a few brands, but a decent design. Not sure if it can be recalibrated. I use it for carbon steerer wedges and some front end stuff on the TT bike.

Pointless spending money to pursue high accuracy imho - requires recalibration schedule and torque precision specs that aren't realistic for the application.

Quite like the OnOne one they knock out silly cheap every so often.
Probably not the best, but probably as good as anything much under £100

I’ve got a ratchet one and one of these also

Topeak

In operation they’re about the same. Maybe not what you’re after given your budget.

As above, not worth the outlay on a Park or similar for occasional bike use, if I'm honest.
I've got one of the Jobsworth (Planet X) sets that was silly cheap - think they're £35 for a wrench and workstand bundle right now. Can't fault it.

I found the lifeline one to be shocking when checked against a snap on one, I now have a norbar one. That seems to be good.

£100 budget, go digital, they work for reserve thread too and some have 5nm to 50nm range which covers most things on the bike, also Topeaks preset little torq bits for stem bolts etc are super handy and small enough to take on a ride and are impossible to overtorque as they release even if you keep turning.

Park bendy beam one? They recently relaunched them. Works on left hand threads too.

Jobswoth/ planet X one here. Never really bothered with torque wrenches on a bike before but bought it when I got some carbon bars just to be safe.

It's probably not as accurate as an expensive one but whatever. So long as its consistent, I don't really care and it feels consistent in use.

If you blindly torque stuff up until it clicks then maybe buy an expensive one. If you still go mostly by feel and use the torque wrench for a bit of confirmation that you're in the right place then I don't think there's anything wrong with a cheapy.

You mean if you actually use it properly?

I recently bought one of these after doing lots (too much) research - very impressed with the quality. Lifetime warranty.

They can be found for a touch over £40 on eBay. There's also a 1/4" version. Just make sure the torque range meets your needs.

Go for an industrial one such as Norbar instead of a bike brand. Ideally it will come with a calibration certificate.
