Either that seat is too low or you have bloody short legs.

Just how short are you in the leg?
Or is it a jump bike?

yeah its a geared Dirt jump bike (or at least its supposed to be)... fed up of getting filthy so its for the BMX/pump tracks.

Its a xs BFe with pike wound down to 110 could do with being a bit shorter.

The most fun was had today... could do with some higher rise bars I think, but the rest is all good.

Went to a little track in Shepshed and then onto Derby BMX track for the afternoon.

Where is the track in shepshed? I don't work far from there, it could be a good lunchtime ride.

If you bung this into google maps it'll be obvious, put it on satellite though.

104 Oakley Road, Shepshed, England, United Kingdom

there are a couple of videos from on my Face book... May well buy some of those DMR trailblades for upfront.

Looks good, I might pop over there at some point.

I know what you mean about the bars being low. I have been thinking about putting on some high rise ones for BMX/jumping. You never see jump bikes with low rise bars.

need some different tyres too... haven't a clue whats good for the track though.. tioga powerblocks? kenda? do schwalbe or maxxis make anything? there are some OS bars on CRC in 75mm rise that I'm keen to give a go.

Maxxis hookworms are great, massive though, 2.5"

I reckon 2.2 is about as big as I want to go? 2.5 seems a bit mental for the track and dirt jumps... Could be completely wrong of course.

Schwalbe crazy bobs it is seeing as they can be had for £22.50 for the pair.

Hookworms are basically slicks so the volume will help with cushioning landings. They will be fine for BMX but not great for trails. Get some halo twinrails, designed for jumping and will still go round corners off road.
