Just started a job in Basingstoke and looking for some advice on where I can get some mid week riding in. Some half decent rides from the digs would be good (beside Hook).

Cheers

A few bridleways around the Basingstoke area, but not great riding, sorry.

BUT as you Nr Hook, you be better off Hooking up with the Tunnel Hill Trolls, who ride aroung the Farnborough area, they out 2 times a week, mad bunch but friendly, and they know some good trails 😉

Not many people move TO Blazingsmoke! 😯

Some decent riding around there if you know where to look. Cinnamon Girl has routes all over the place up that way that she could probably share.
Head out Newbury/Andover direction for some good stuff in the collingbourne woods area.

There's quite a fair bit, as said, if you know where to look. There's some good stuff over towards Alton & Four Marks (Chawton Park Wood), Pamber Forest, some good bridleway thrashes around Hannington & Watership Down, and there's some decent riding around the Fleet area (around Blackbushe & Hawley). And in Hook you're only 20 minutes drive from Swinley... 🙂
