You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
As my babies are no longer actually babies and I’m beginning to have a little me time back in the calendar. And with the dreams of venturing once again beyond the Lincolnshire borders, I rather fancy the idea of building up another full suss.
I quite like the look (and the price!) of the new sonder evol and the ability to buy a frameset on cycle-to-work definitely appeals.
I’ll be building with the pike ultimates that are currently not on my hard tail (running full rigid for winter/kid hauling) is the standard shock any cop or do I need to factor in the cane creek upgrade?
My history, I’m a happy fetler of bicycles and don’t mind fiddling to get a good shock tune. I have had a CC shock before (original dbinline on a banshee spitfire) and really liked it, until it inevitably shat itself!
I dont know about the new sonder evol frameset but it looks good in my eyes- I'd certainly consider one if I was building up a new bike. Wrt shocks- the Cane Creek air shocks are meant to be a lot more reliable now than the original Air DB versions. PLus I reckon Alpkit would help you out if there was an issue with it. Its a one year warranty- if you were using it and it failed in this time you should be grand.
Can you get a frameset on cycle to work? We're changing c2w providers in Jan so interested in this.
yes you can- I'm considering a sonder cortex and they said all was good to do this! Cyclescheme approved
