Evening
I'd like to extend my camping on the bike, not talking darkest depths of winter but maybe squeeze another month this side of Xmas and maybe start back up about March ish.
The bag I have at the moment is just a cheapie old thing which is OK for summer but won't cut it from now on,its comfort rating is something like +15.
Only stipulation I have is I don't want a mummy type bag,had them before and hate them,I also can't seem to find square down bags so its more of the budget things I'm looking at. Sports pursuit have some highlander bags on there at the moment specifically the super lite Xl or snugpak have some square bags.
Anyone have any experience of any of these,or any other recommendations?

Ta

#1 recommendation - get over your hatred of "mummy" type bags.

They are designed to retain body heat - especially those with should baffles - and do so extremely well.

Guess why everyone makes "good" bags in mummy style?

^what he said.

Or, invest in a quilt system on a good mat.

Or, take two fleece blankets, you current bag, a good hat, thermals, two karrimats and a dose of man up.

You will struggle to find a warm square sleepingbag. Ultimately square sleepingbags are the low end budget ranges.

Mummy sleeping bags are the way to go and any camping shop should have a big range. I'd get a synthetic bag because down bags are very hard to dry if they get wet.
