I had (yet another)M785 XT brake part give up the ghost. This time it was a 2014 caliper so I bought a replacement caliper but when I have come to fit it there is a totally different banjo bolt that has a phillips head and a single seal instead of an allen head and 2 rubber O rings.
So it appears the connectors from my old hose will not fit the new type. Anyone else come accross this problem? Can old hose/connector be used or do I need a new hose kit too?

Sometimes I hate the way Shimano is not small part fixable.

The philips head bolt & seal are for keeping dirt out during transit, use your original fittings (and be careful not to pinch the O-rings during fitting).

Aha that makes sense, I thought I was missing something somewhere!
