Clutch on its worse if I back pedal so I lengthened the chain. Clutch off = ok. Does this mean my chain is too short?
Back pedalling creates snagging of the chain (I.e chain crunches across whilst back pedalling).
I've not ridden the back yet just cycled it in the stand through the gears.
My fear is snag = mech ripped off under chain growth whilst clutch is on or.....is this normal with back pedalling with a clutch mech? (All new to me)
Hahahahahaha funny but not totally helpful.
When I was getting chain snag on back pedal it was sticky jockey wheels. Check em and free up bearings if needed
Sorry to say this But you are a complete and utter ****
Wildly random post.Rob Jackson do you have some anger issues? Weird comment on a posted topic fella.
Stop drinking and typing, you'll hurt yourself.
Hora, have you sorted your freehub ? did you check that spacer I was mithering you about ? see my last post on your hub post.
Sounds like something else is binding rather than the mech being the issue. Strip jockey wheels and clean, give drivetrain a good clean too and see what happens.
Cheekyboy I swapped wheels out to my older proII as I was worried the evoII was catching/at fault. It still catches. Im thinking it could be the jockey wheel(s) ^ overtightened at the factory too now. I agree I need to recheck the evoII seal properly.
My xt clutch mech did this after a month. The bottom jockey wheel bearing thingy had moved outwards. Needed to remove it and press it back in with a vice.
Don't know why it did it
One day it just started skipping when back-pedalling
Stop back-pedalling?
