I’ve watched it 4 times now and still wrapping my head around what he’s doing. I think manuals over rollers are pretty amazing, but landing a 360 into one? Manual into backflip? 🤯

In my eyes he's the greatest all round rider. Just amazing to watch.

Surely that’s a titanium spokeydokey not a hub.

Everything in it is mental. That footplant flat spin thing off something the size of a house is pretty striking.

Those 2 wheel snaky drifts over those humps look cool as well.

Even more so when you notice he sets up the footplant by landing the tailwhip one-footed.

I showed him how to do all of that - it's on my commute to work...

Nice!

I see he's taking notes from Akrigg on the decrepit industrial setting, but takes a pass on the shonky AF transitions, the broken glass and the rusty nails.

Fair enough.

Great advert for those hubs. Spesh and Trek sure know how to make a marketing adverts.

Phenomenal riding, never seen anyone move like him on a bike, kind of slippery. The one stand out move for me that the slide slash hip across the table tops, never seen that before. I'd like to see a edit where they make it look like a single take.

I love that they showed everything twice. I could just about get my head around what he did on the second view. Mind boggling.

In terms of wtf, the big 360 into a manual is WTF.

I can't stand this editing style. Ok on one or two tricks but on every one it spoils the flow.

That freehub was annoying as hell. Glad I don’t have one on my bike

Semenuk and Anthill defined 1 hit uncut segments.. that's been nailed...next.
There was another Revel vid where he was scrub sliding rollers, smoothest move ever, looks soon good.
Everything he does is pretty special though.

The thing I wonder about these edits is how much of the trails are already there? I can imagine they get added to or tweaked but moving all that dirt for one short edit seems unlikely.

Makes me never want to pick up my bike again. Not because of the tricks, they're way out of my league even when I was 20 years younger, but the fact he's just so in control and at one with his bike.

I think some of the tricks need repeating because you need to see it from different angles to get your head around what is actually going on. Unless you did super slo-mo in bullet time kind of thing, but not sure that would work.

The thing I wonder about these edits is how much of the trails are already there?

They probably weren't and were specially built. Also what you don't see is the hundreds of failed attempts to get the money shot. Not detracting from the skill on show, but he's not just rocked up there, got on his bike and nailed it in one take. They would have spent days on site, building the trail and ramps, testing them, tweaking them, practicing every feature and taking multiple takes so in the editing suite they can make it look as polished as possible. But he still did it. I quite like the out-takes bit on Danny Mac's video's. Kind of makes me feel better that even he has to practice things to get them right and on some tricks has to psyc himself up....they are human after all.

It’s probably built solely for this video. Like this was:

When I lived on the North Shore but was unable to ride (sadly, about 50% of the time I was there) I loved hiking about Fromme and Seymour discovering little stunts that had been built specifically for a video or photo shoot. There would be no trail either side, just forest - epic stunt - run out - forest.

'Digger's Nuggets' or something they called them

Well aware of the number of failed attempts having ridden with some very good bmxers.

Just amazed there is the budget to build all that from scratch for that one small edit.

That unreal video is the best MTB edit imo. Loads of other good riding out there but as a overall video it's the best.

The "Raw 100" format is 100 seconds, only real-time, no music. So yeah, a few repeat shots to show off what's happening and a lot of freehub noise is the order of the day.

While it was conceived as a low budget idea, Red Bull have a lot of money to throw at projects like this.

Good video, love his drift style over the rollers, not sure on the flip to fakie to half cab one foot step thru though, thought he was gearing up for something bigger and felt like an anti-climax to see what he did actually do to me

not sure on the flip to fakie to

I am not mad on flip, whip, bar comps personally. This thing with load of other tricks is they don't always transfer to video very well.

Just watched your video, it was let down by the trick in the middle IMO. Start and finish are strong though!

Just finished watching this for the 7th or so time. It's incredible! I'm also a fan of those uber-stylish scrub-slide-drifts over the rollers. They look so cool!

I thought that backflip to fakie to half-cab stepthrough was awesome. But the 360 to one-footed landing to footplant 360 x-up? Bonkers. Plus a backflip with a footplant halfway through it? How?!

His Raw 100s have been some of the most stylish, most creative edits. Love them.
