I saw a teen lad at Glentress today on a Mondraker with similar high rise bar, 37* spacers and that odd stump/stem that thier geometry uses. He was almost upright, no weight on front wheel. Clearly a handy rider though....

* this may be a slight exaggeration...

...considering how heavy a persons head is - you don't really have to be putting much weight at all through the bars themselves to weight up the front in a corner. You can actually go totally light on the bars, support all or most of the weight with your legs and just use the position of your head, neck and shoulders to do it. What lowering your bars does is force you to weight up the front more, if you aren't developing the right habits.

This is why I never got the whole slammed stems/flat bars combo/fad among the Enduro/DH crowd...until people started remembering why flat bars and steep cockpits are horrendous for gravity duties.
