I have a SDG Bel Air which i find comfortable, but I am pi**ed off with the constant creaking and rails coming loose. Was thinking of buying a Fizik Gobi XM flexiwing saddle. Anyone have or tried one?

Just buy a Charge Spoon and spend the rest on beer!

Got both. If you get on with the bel air you might not get on with the gobi. For me the fizik was an instrument of torture.

What about the sdg formula. I found that about as comfy as my bel air and not squeaky.

Try a spoon or even a new Scoop.

Small hijack. Can the padding inside a saddle "wear out" over time and cause plum discomfort?

Take a look at triathlon saddles. You'll find they do the same thing as the Big Nose, but without the weight penalty.
