Got a new set from CRC, can I install them with perfect fitting plastic drain pipe (fits crown races).......no, I now have a slighly oval new seal which proudly refuses to pop in.
Is the answer to try socket sets. Any suggestions?
Seal area is all lubed. about to try freezing the seals for a bit to contract them, but I thought walk away Wally and think for a bit.

Never had a problem with Totems, Pikes or Boxxers just using a socket & a bit of grease.
Not much help but i've never had a problem with the pipe method, just make sure everything is lined up and apply gentlish constant pressure rather than whacking it.
