Is it still the general consensus that dropping the lowers and checking oil levels is a good idea? 2019 Pikes if it makes any difference.

And what oil are you using? I have plenty Stendec or Rockoil 15wt. Will this be OK?

To be fair, anything in the lowers will be fine. I prefer 0w30, just because it's better with temperature variance. It's pretty cheap if you buy a litre of the stuff.
