Currently getting bits together for a Santa Cruz Chameleon build.
I initially plan to run it in 650b plus mode.
Am I right in thinking i would need 29er pikes/lyrics in boost format?
Do the 2018 ones have more tyre clearance than 2017 ones? I was under the impression the 2017 ones even in boost have the same chassis as non boost.
I want plenty of tyre clearance and plan to get a 29" set of wheels so I can switch between 650b and 29.
If they are boost then the chassis cannot be the same.
Sorry what I meant is I understand that a 2017 Pike, boost and non boost have the same CSU, meaning the width of the lower legs are the same distance apart and have the same tyre clearance.
2017 you needed 29er boost. 2018 you only need 29er unless your running 2.8 or less. In which case a 650 fork will also work.
