You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
So seeing as I'm not spending on diesel/petrol and I'm sharing housing with my boyfriend for now and we're all pretty stuck for a while I'm trying to find an excuse to spend some money!
I've been riding in the same pair of specialized spirita road shoes for probably about the last 5/6 years and never had a problem with them. They have custom sidas insoles in them following a bike fit because turns out I have a very high arch which was giving me knee issues. I'm wondering if I'm actually going to notice a difference shelling out approx £200 on a new pair of shoes. My roadie average is between 18 - 18.5mph currently but I can't help but think its snake oil and people believing it makes a difference just because they cost that much!
Should I spend the money there or find something else equally as frivolous to spend on?!
You could almost certainly have change from buying some TT gloves, TT style overshoes, an aero helmet and maybe even aero top/shorts... If your existing shoes are still in good nick.
