man i am oer the moon getting this bike 😀

have always wanted a ti road bike but never been able to afford one.

i must give a huge thank you to the guys at melksham cycle centre,it's becwuse of them that i could get the bike (they have been extremely kind to us over the years buying bike stuff from them etc).

i did a video during its first ride today

i am really sorry that i talk so much crap and drone on etc (i am not good at making videos tbh).

if you watched any of it than k you and my apologies (see above).

i will shut up now (a new bike day doesn't come along very often for me,so apologie for the rambling).

Nice bike, but what are those weird things on the fork crown and seat stay bridge?

@trailwagger ha you got me for a moment (strange things eh then oh 😂

in my defence i haven't slept for 24 hours.

the reason i went for the spitfire was thinking i would have a good chance of getting one (as most people want discs now/bike shortages due to covid etc).

i have to admit to liking rim brakes too on a road bike (not knocking disc brakes though i must add). i love how a road bike looks classic style (like the classic steel road bikes with rim brakes,it all harks back to watching the tdf on ch 4 back in the 80's).

Looks great! I just bought a rim-brake bike, I can easily live without discs.

Looks good OP.

I love how a road bike looks classic style (like the classic steel road bikes with rim brakes, it all harks back to watching the tdf on ch 4 back in the 80’s).

TBH I think on a "Summer road bike" rim brakes, look right, work right and cost proportionately less, I'm not ditching mine any time soon...

Enjoy, OP! I have one, rim brakes and all, and it's fantastic. Very comfy, and with the ability to go a lot faster than I can manage. The only thing I changed from the bog-standard PX offering was to fit some new tyres. Oh, and after 50 miles I always think "I wish I had a better saddle" and then forget all about it until next time. Have fun out there.
