Hi all,

So I finally destroyed my rear Stans Flow EX rear rim... Time for a new one.

Been out of the rim market for 2 years or so, so not sure on what's hot right now. Would prefer to keep it under 70 or 75 quid, even better if cheaper so I might consider to replace both rims.

What do you suggest?
DT Swiss E532?
Anything from Mavic?

Thanks in advance

Don't mind to change spokes, only want to keep the DT 350 Boost hubs

Just going through a similar process having cracked a WTB rim. Opted for raceface ARC27 rims from CRC as currently on sale and £36 each... no idea how they compare to your current rims but may be worth a look.

Try starbike for prices on Dt Swiss rims - looks like you can squeak in an ex511 under budget which is an awesome rim.

+1 for EX511, stronger than flow ex.

Differences between EX511 and E532?

What do you actually want from it?

I replaced my last flow ex with a WTB Frequency i25, they had comparable ERDs so I could reuse the spokes and while it was heavier it was also much (much) stronger. A good tradeoff imo.

I think the ex511 is stronger than the e532 and it’s also lighter.

The ex511 is a welded rim that you build with phr washers.

The e532 is sleeved and has eyelets.

For £65 I’d go ex511 if you want ultimate strength - but if the other rim is a lot cheaper and weight also not an issue then go with that.

If you want lighter again but still strong (but not quite as strong as the ex) then there’s the xm481.

Another vote for the ex471

Was absolutely bomb proof for me, with my riding was hard to tell the difference between them and fr570s in stiffness
