So I'm looking at a new hardtail, got no interest in plus tyres but after reading some people's difficulties with wider 29er tyres I thought I'd ask first. So what's the biggest that will go on a 30mm rim ( or thereabouts).

With the old model Moxie I have a 2.35 Schwalbe HD2. With the drop outs in the longest position I get a tiny bit of rub in hard corners. The new model is supposed to fit 2.6.

My old MK1 Moxie could fit 2.4 Ardents on Flow EXs on the rearmost half/third of the slider dropouts. However, proper year-round clearance was only on the rearmost position

ah that'll be fine then i'll most likely run it in the longest setting most of the time anyway so the new one should have loads of clearance

Got my MK2 Moxie built up the other day. 29er Wheels and DHF 2.5 fit With no problem when dropouts are 2/3 out.
Other than that; Incredible looking frame and rides like a dream 🙂
