A mate at work who knows i'm into cycling offered me his steed. Turns out it's a mid- 80's Raleigh 'Classic' like a Royal. 531c Tubeset, Weinmann centre pulls, Brookes saddle, downtube shifters. Like a time machine! Super condition, just needs a little light fettling. Came with front and rear blackburn racks and a set of full length mudguards. Not quite sure what i'll do with it, probably run it around as is for a while, see how I like it, theres always room for an N+1!
Well you could start with taking a picture so we can all share. Thanks. Not quite sure what i'll do with it...

Nothing a new frame, wheels & components wouldn't sort out there
😉
Do you work in Lilliput and is your mate Gulliver?! 🙂
Guessing you and your mate are both quite tall?
Nice though.

Yes, am 6'3". Super comfy but makes me wonder if my other bikes are anywhere near big enough.

Was really after something more modern like an Allez but as it turns out this is pretty contemporary with my last road bike. Gives me a bit of time to start saving those pennies
Ideal for L'eroica that is, looks sweet.
