looks like a solid bike.

Nice to see well priced, good geo, alloy bikes are still on manufacturers radars.

Its almost a Norco Fluid that you will be able to get in the UK!

Fluid is a great bike. Not far off my optic (fastest bike I have ever ridden up and down anything tweed valley)

UDH and much better seat tube on the new Mythique. Will make a fun winter bike as having the shock out back will actually help traction! Tempting. Lets see how it is received.

Looks like a lot of bike for the money, as per usual with Vitus.

Colour is gopping though.

Interesting prices, the VR model is £1899 which is £50 more RRP than the Vitus Escarpe VR that I bought in 2018.

Spec wise it seems worse, RS 35's Vs revelations, Deore 11s Vs SLX 11s. The geo has been updated at least, no more 520mm seat tube on the XL model.

Still, shows how much prices have gone up, the Mythique came in as a budget model below the Escarpe, now it's the same price, with a worse spec!

It needs to have a few hundred knocked off before I'd even consider it, compared to the deals on the Escarpe VR that are currently on.

@lightfighter762 - i have an optic too. Absolutely love it. such a good bike. I rode the tweed valley last year, but unfortunately i was awaiting a replacement Optic frame, so did it on a specilized status. Would love to get my Optic up there.

Is your optic running the standard 125/140 travel? or have you upped it at all (cascade link or longer fork)?

I don't know if the X Fusion's on the cheaper model will be any worse than the RS 35's, Deore 11 speed is hardly worth having over Deore 10. It's perhaps only the brakes that are a little lacking.

Although at first glance the spec looks worse for a given price, there's now very little that needs to be changed. It has wide bars, wide rims, dropper, wide range cassette, long reach, slack HA. It wasn't long ago that a value bike would have some parts that felt like they needed immediately upgrading.

Well I eventually found the geo chart.

Some of you will disagree, but I think 65.5deg is too steep a HA for a bike of this nature.

But stick a -2deg headset in there with a 150mm fork and you're cooking with gas 😀
