Ive treated myself to new forks in the sales (RS Sektor TK 130mm). They however are 15mm and my current wheels are stock giant QR wheels.
Excuse for a wee upgrade. Wont be till payday in a few weeks though.
Thinking Hope evo 2 on Mavic 721 or 729 (too heavy duty?). Front and back change, rear will be qr.
That sound about right? Open to suggestions, one of my mates has suggested going tubless with some stans. Not sure. I go mainly trail centres, singletrack and not adverse to falling off so has to be able to take a hit 🙂
I'd personally go with a set of Arch EX Hope Hoops for those sort of duties. If you want something truly indestructible though, you could also go Flow EX.
You don't have to run them tubeless, but personally I would. They're good strong stiff and relatively light rims.
