My pc monitor has gone phut and is no more. I need a new one and want decent display and sound for watching sport on line and the iplayer. There is a massive choice out there and recommendations are always worth hearing.

Thanks

T

I'm a bit out of touch, but people will want to know how big and what budget.

I went for a 32" TV a couple of years ago as a second monitor and been quite happy with it so far. Now in use as an actual TV, but used it for some time as a second monitor, both for working on as well as watching films and playing games.

Get seperate speakers, if you can, most monitor speakers are awful.

I'm looking at one of these just now:

Which is pretty nice. Can't fault it at all, at the price.

Get one with an IPS panel if you can.

I´ve tried Samsung,Sony, Dell and LG. The Dell monitor wins hands down.

Also worth looking at scan today (http://www.scan.co.uk/todayonly/) each day for a bit of a bargain!
