You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Right, i know this is a bit of an unknown as both products have not trickled down to us consumers yet, but in theory, would the new NP Mega AM be suited to the new RS Pikes? Would they be tall enough?
Im trying to build a new gravity enduro machine, and the megas angles look to be confidence inspiring, but id like it to be nimble, hence the new RS pikes which are a good weight, and have 160mm travel.
Whats everyones opinions then? (apart from 'get some lyrics'!)
Cheers.
well SRAM don't even list the AtoC length so I guess you will need to find that out and see how they stack up. Do NP give an geometry based on a specific AtoC?
Look at the Xfusion and Suntour Durolux for some nice weighted 140-180mm stuff
NP just state 'based on 160-180mm forks' so i presumed....

yep I looked at the SRAM Tech so now A2C unless I missed it. Thats the key bit if your running a fork at the low end of the travel range. If RS have made it a short 160 to fit with 160max frames then it will be steeper than expected.
Yeah, i'll need to find this out when the info is available. Hoping that with an external bottom headset cup will keep it in check.
Well there's a curve ball - Not sure im ready for 650B yet though!?
160 pikes should be fine in 26" and the 650B would be an interesting one too. 😉
Ooh nice.
IIRC the Fox 34 has a shorter A2C than a 36 at the same length, which is a bit of a drawback for some- might be the Pike follows suit since that's the comparison everyone will make?
The more i look at the YT, the more it makes sence! Especially for the price. Uh oh!
