Anyone able to recommend a decent laptop for a maximum price of £300? It gets used for surfing the web, word docs and listening to tunes. No gaming gets done on it.
Prefer about a 15.5 inch screen, for various reasons.
Our laptop died and we need one asap.
Thanks
Could also do with getting a copy of Microsoft office to go with it. My copy is from 2003!

Chromebook. Sounds (and pics) stored on Google Drive though as not much in the way of storage.
Speakers however are miles better than my old Windows Packard Bell machine.
A little over budget but we've just got one of these.
Got my son one of these (with JL 2 yr warranty as standard) for his birthday in May. Just upgraded from win 8.1 to 10 last week. Seems to have office 13 on it which works so far despite U.S. Not paying for it. Seems a decent laptop for the money.

Shameless plug...
I had a similar brief and ended up with a Dell from their outlet. It does what I need it to do and the process was very easy.
