My 661 Kyle Straits are looking a bit tatty and the elastic giving a bit but they have served me well.
Looking now, they seem around £50ish which seems quite a bit.
So, wondering if anyone has managed to find a bargain decent pad.
Troy Lee panic 40 quid at CRC
Just bought some POCs. Not cheap but a great fit.
I quite like my Poc VPDs.
Looking in another mag and they have a review of knee. They highly rated Brand X knee pads, which I think are always cheap at CRC. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/brand-x-dh-knee-guard/rp-prod132009
Bliss Classic knee pad on eBay for £26.....
Any thoughts on these, reviews seem a bit scarce.
Rockhopper, whereabouts are you ? And what size Kyle straits ? I've got a pair of large I'd sell in mint condition .
I'm a reluctant convert to POC. They're expensive, but the difference in comfort over the 661s they replaced is really noticeable.
Fox Launch Pro. Very comfortable and good level of protection.
Crapjumper.....ill hang fire on the offer for now as I was looking what else is around. The 661s feel "bulky", compared to some of the more modern ones I've looked at.
ixs flow comfy. light good reviews by germans!
Ixs flow yes. Not bulky either.
I have a large pair of SixSixOne Riot knee pads to give away
I bought them, wore them once and realised they were too large. Unfortunately i was moving house at the time so they got swallowed up by the move. I'm Manc based if you're interested.
Just. Got some dainese trailskins comfy, light and 45 quid. Took a reasonable off to
My Kyle Straits finally gave up about 6 months ago, after trying on lots of new pads I'm now wearing IXS Slopestyle. They were cheap on CRC HT honestly the best out of everything else I tried
On the Poc are expensive front. Shop around, I got my VPD pads I think from Tweeks on a Black Friday style deal. Paid about £35.
Struggling to get the respective elbow pads for a good discount too though so will probably end up going for something else.
