Anything better for £40 than a Camelbak Mule?
depends what you're after
Cheers, went with the Mule, I think for £40 I can't go wrong.
Where from Craig24?
That Scott pack is good value considering it has a D3O back protector in it
Camelbak Mule is a bargain at £40
No bladder in the Scott one admittedly but has a dedicated slot for one.
I'd try and get one of the camelbak LR models as much nicer to wear, the water being lower down really makes a difference. Skyline LR for about £54 from Merlin.
I bought one of the scott ones for my son.
The back protector is a useful feature but it makes the pack heavy (no shit Sherlock) so is best left for the gravity assisted days.
I ended up also buying him a camelbak lobo which is his preferred one.
Ummmm, dunno quite how to say this but EVOC bags are unreal quality packed with innovative features.
50% off at Silverfish on they’re sale ones.
I'm looking around at the moment and just about to go for a camelbak kudu 8. Wanted a fairly compact bag that has a back protector and straps for a full face.

Surely the best back protector is a bladder full of water anyway. Saved my back when hit by a car years ago.
It's better than nothing but it's nowhere near as good as a proper back protector
I actually like the structure the back protector in my evoc bag gives. I find it more comfy than the mule I had before
