Initial shakedown ride round the garden and up & down the road didn't reveal any nasties. Check-over in the morning then a proper ride. So pleased I built one up myself as it now feels like it's mine if that makes sense?
Weight is 25lbs without pedals. Only a pound lighter than the fairly basic Santa Cruz built one I had for a day but I can't see where I can easily shave weight.
Can't wait for a proper ride!
very nice, do you have a spec list/how much was the rough build cost?
Love the Solaris - don't want to ride one in case its better than my Highball!
Not added up cost yet but hope it's not too much over 2k or I'm in trouble.
spec is xt groupset inc brakes. Crests on pro2s. Reba rlt. Decent carbon post & bars. Went for
Shimmed 27.2 carbon post for comfort & it works.
Very nice indeed. What size is that and how tall are you?
Medium and I'm 5.10. Feels short but chuckable
