1 - Decide your budget
2 - Go to bike shop
3 - Try on helmets within your budget
4 - Decide which fits best
5 - If available, select the psikkkezt colorway to match your sweet enduro rig for maximal schralp
6 - Make payment to shop
7 - Leave

Simple, really.

Troy lee designs A1.

Amazing comfort and quality. CRC have had them on offer for quite a while now.

I'm also very interested in this thread as going to get a new helmet for Christmas.

Went to evans yesterday and tried the specialized tactic 2, giro hex, and fox flux, but felt I was between sizes on the tactic and the flux, and the hex had the previously mentioned mushroom look. They also didn't have as much rear protection as I thought they would.

I think the flux was the best one that I tried but wish they had an in between size, will go back and see if I can try a troy lee designs one.

Uvex XP CC user here. I love it. You can still pick them up but believe they have been discontinued. Super light, well ventilated with nice fitting system. It's very comfortable. Their new Quatro Pro model might be worth trying on?

Black looks nice if, like me, you are not one for lollipop coloured gear.

Hi
+1 for the bushwhacker. Got one off here for a bargain £40.
Very light and comfortable
They were on offer at the Dales Centre for about £90 and would have been happy to pay that to be honest.
Also used a Fox Flux for years and been happy with that.
Specialised fit me well too
Cheers
Steve

I've got a Bell Super 2 - I really like it, and it fits me great. They're NARROW though! Sometimes when I'm wearing sunglasses with it, the arms can be painful against the sides of my head (depends on the glasses).

If you don't have a Bell (not literally, figuratively) shaped head, it won't fit. They're quite particular.

I like urge helmets and they fit nice for me.

The All M is the one I wear most.

Also got the Bell Super 2R as I fancied a full face but couldn't justify it against the amount of times I ride at BPW. So this works really well for me as I get to use it all the time but have the extra protection when I need it.

A helmet is definitely something that needs trying on before buying, rather than getting something someone else thinks is comfortable.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Every intention of trying before buying just wondered if there were current favourites knocking about. Trip to LBS planned for the morning
