Need a helmet with a chin guard for a trip to the Alps later this month. Tried a few on now and can't seem to find one that fits well (bell, met, lazer etc), i really like the idea of a removal chin guard so i can use the lid back here for XC rides as well. I have always worn giro helmets for biking and boarding as they fit my head shape well. So one the new Switchblades would look to be the perfect solution.

Trouble is i can't seem to find any info on it, can't even find out if its going to be an actual production thing or if it was just a prototype.
Can anyone offer any (inside maybe) info on is release date?
Thanks
Some giro sponsored riders were also wearing helmets earlier in the year that kind of looked like that without the chinguard, I have been waiting for it to come out as the bell super is an awful fit for me. I suspect it won't hit the shelves till next year, hope I am wrong though
