I was lucky enough to be given a Genesis Fortitude Adventure last week. Lovely bike , alfine hubs, bb7 discs but unfortunately at 17.5" its just too small for me.

Has anyone got any suggestions for a replacement frame? - ideally flat bar and rear facing dropouts with 135mm spacing so I could just swap the frame over.

I was thinking something like a salsa vaya or cotic roadrat. Used would be fine and I'd be looking for a large / 56cm frame.

There's a large one on ebay at the moment, the lads from 18 bikes are selling it. I was interested till i found it was the adventure version with alfine and not the race version.

Kona Unit? Sliding dropouts, old ones 135mm. Nice frames, but quite chunky. My xl weighs 2.7kg for just the frame so not terrible.

What size wheels? My old 26" Lava Dome is currently sporting 27.5" wheels with bags of clearance for 2.2 tyres. The sliding dropouts open up all sorts of options, including hub gears.

29er. The fortitude came rocking 2.3 schwalbe big apples. I've put some skinnier tyres on for now.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Kona Unit looks interesting.

I'd seen the Fortitude on ebay but I'm looking for frame only right now.

Stooge Mk3 - Mk3?
EBB, so would work with Alfine.

Mk4 won't work though due to through axle.

I'm not clued up on Alfines but if one would work with the Big Brother Big Bro, that looks interesting (it looks a similar sort of steel adventure bike). It comes with sliding dropouts although I've no idea if horizontal ones are available.

Didn’t the Longitude sort of replace the Fortitude? That could be an option?

I have a Mk1 which goes to 29+. Believe later/current models are regular 29er (27.5+). With flats and Ergon bar-end grips it’s been a great ATB/gravel option. Here with 2.2s but right now it’s on 30c Landcruisers/turbo trainer. Other part-time guise as all-terrain tourer has On One Geoff loop bars, f/r racks and pannier-bags.

Longitude of any age will take 29 (but only MK1 for 29+)
