Original fork on my 1992 orange clockwork needs replacing. Cant get the headset adjusted correctly, LBS say it needs replacing
Dont need fron suspension any advice?
you are probably going to struggle, from that vintage i would hazard a guess that the fork will be very short because suspension wasn't a consideration.
The other question what headset size? 1" or 1 1/8" memory says the former which makes it harder still. but i might remember wrong.
To be honest your probably going to have to go custom to get something that fits.
Pretty certain it was 1". Try on retrobike for any second hand ones
wtd on here - I sold a F3(?) 1" orange fork on here for £10.
Your right its a 1" headset. Thought about a fork from an cheap auction bike. But not sure it would do

khanis suggestion will fit, but measure how long your current fork is. It may be quite short and any new fork will kick the head angle back a long way.
Id also need a aheadset as well, mine is the threaded type. Dont really want to get rid of the stalk stem
if you're not too bothered about authenticity, then maybe have a look at these
Several years ago I replaced the original curved forks on my Clockwork (same era, and indeed 1" steerer) with some old P7 forks that Orange had 'lying about' - and they even painted them to whichever colour I chose. Think I paid £50 for them, delivered. Might be worth contacting them..?

Thaanks for your help folks!
😀
I've a pair of mag 20s in the garage that might suit.
Khani I'm amazed. I thought threaded would be impossible
is the thread ****ed? Just curious.
Thinking about it, i might have a Bontrager Indy kicking about, Custom Bontrager rake, certainly 1" threaded. And fairly short, but still longer than what you have.
