In the process of rebuilding a 2006 sx trail and having difficulty deciding between two forks.

Have so far shortlisted Marzocchi 55 cr or x-fusion vengeance hlr.

Had anyone ridden both? Sadly the 55 rc3 ti is out of my budget.

Any other alternatives welcome.

You could go for my Fox Van 36 RC2 FIT. I'm only looking for about £290 posted. 196mm, 1 1/8" steerer. Recently serviced by Mojo with new stanchions, bushes and SKF seals. (Obviously 160mm but should suit your bike nicely.)

I'm always banging on about the Vengeance being a great fork so won't repeat myself - you should be able to find my ramblings easy enough

Someone selling some nice looking 55 RC3 Ti's on here at the moment, I doubt you could go far wrong with them.

Thanks for the input so far.

In terms of second hand I appreciate the backup a warranty offers.

Just trying to justify the extra £150 for the x-fusion at the moment.

I have the 55CR's. Super plush. Take the stickers off and they look amazing. Do it.

Shiny gold legs or high and low speed compression adjustors... Dammit.
