I don’t dislike that, had it have been released 6 months ago, I may have made a different choice…
I have 2 objections; one aesthetic and one based on poor knowledge of suspension systems:
1) Fugly seat mast and daftly low top tube. That's enough for me to say no
2) I don't like the idea of super-low shock mounts. Feels to me (admittedly I know nothing about it really) that there's going to be a lot of force going into that shock so it'll have to have pretty high pressures to control that. Just seems like a bad idea to me, though I've no idea where the virtual pivot point will be or how it'll move (maybe the beefier frame bearings imply something about all that, I dunno). I assume/hope the new shock is more robust than the old x2 ??
oh, and 3) would look better without Kashima (especially the 2 comedy shades in Tracey's pic !) but I think both models have that
Doesn't grab me, those new Forbidden's are more interesting and I suspect we are going to see more launches with the same DJI motor
Best looking eBike out there right now and makes the Levo/Lardo look more than a little tubby.
I think this version of the Unno and the previously non e-bike from them both look gross. There’s everything wrong about that seat mast.
Clicking on the link, the photos don’t look too bad. Seat mast length must depend on frame size?
This one looks… ugh (we used to call them ladybacks 😝)
I think they are grim.
I wonder how many Amflow early adopters are wishing they'd held fire and got a Forbidden though
I rather like it. They’ve got rid of the stupidly short seatpost insertion by moving the shock much lower and chopped the mast down and it looks so much better…
ok, how do you insert a photo from a link? I really don’t want to have to download and then upload one!
My only concern with the niche brands that are comming to the market is do they have the finances if there is a run on warranty claims or will they dissappear leaving the customers with a lemon.
I’d rather have one of the new Forbidden e-bikes or the Amflow than that Unno monstrosity
That seat mast / seat tube whatever people call them these days. 🤮
Otherwise the rest of it looks ok.
You'll get 3 2025 Levo's for that price so you''ll always have a working one 🙂
I quite like it but yeah the top tube joining so low on the seat tube seems a strange design choice, surely it doesn't save weight or add strength like that but does look fugly. I haven't got a £10k budget either so it's all a bit moot.
Loving the irony of people debating just how hideous a particular ebike is 😆

Not really. Things have moved on a touch since the universally fugly days.
Things are a bit more 'considered' now you have to admit.
Lots of chat about the Unno and the Forbidden.... but there is another DJI powered bike release too, and it looks fabulous. We haven't ever had legit imports of Megamo into the UK which is a shame as they have done some neat stuff and this looks excellent - short and long travel options, carbon or alloy... It looks superb!
They all still just look like cheap bikes from Kay's catalogue from me.
That Unno gives me seat tube snapping vibes - it can't be strong enough surely?
Doesn't matter what it looks like when it's got MEGAMO writ on it 😀
Are Megamo shit, then? I've never come across them at all.
It's just a 4 bar though - seems unlikely that they could totally **** that up. I'd agree that it looks OK
My worries would be no UK suport and ??post insertion??
Wikipedia has a great summary of the advantages and disadvantages of a mixte frame. I guess it depends where you trade off easy to get on and off with harder to lift. Choices choices....
Advantages
- less risk of stretching or ripping clothes when mounting the saddle
- the rider can wear a skirt (also requires a skirt guard and possibly a chain guard)
- very quick to mount and dismount, so is suitable for delivery bicycles, or any journey with many stops
- suitable for elderly and others with restricted agility
- potentially safer than a high top tube; a rider who loses balance can step through the bicycle without becoming entangled
- compactness provides a popular starting point for folding bicycles.
Disadvantages
- Heavier. Compared to a traditional diamond frame consisting of two near-triangles, open or step-through frame designs must be designed with thicker gauge tubing, the use of additional gusseting members, and/or monocoque frame construction. These structural elements may add weight or cost over a traditional diamond design.[2][3][4]
- Inattention to structural design can lead to excessive flexing, resulting in lower pedaling efficiency and reduced frame life.[2][3]
- Fewer places to mount accessories, e.g. an air pump or water-bottle.
- More difficult to carry around off the ground due to the sloping tube near the bicycle's center of gravity, e.g. carrying it up stairs, or lifting to hang it for maintenance.
£10k sheesh
