Sigh... I just can't decide!

31.6 125 or 150mm Internal.

I've got a dead Spesh Command Post (old style), love it's gravity dropper simplicity, but not convinced it's that well sealed from muck.

Been thinking about a £99 Brand-X (buy cheap, buy twice??)
Fox Transfer Performance
PNW Components
X Fusion Manic- Like the idea of the removable/replaceable gubbins, but maybe hard to source?

VOTE..... 🙂

Brand X is well worth the money (missus has one and it's been great).

Also have a look at the One-Up dropper too. Mines been faultless for about 6 months so far in all weathers.

Best value is brand x for sure - I’ve got one that’s over 2 years old worth no issues and never had a cable hange or any maintenance. Another one is maybe 7 or 8 months old and the same in terms of reliability. 1st one is 120mm drop internal routed, the second one is 150mm drop internal routed. I was always happy with 120 but now having 150mm on one bike makes the other feel like not enough drop. So might have to get another 150mm at some point!

That said, if I had a lot of cash I’d be tempted to look at the Fox transfer - but I wouldn’t want the bling factory kashima one as I don’t like the look of it and would probably cry if I scratched the coating. With the brand x it’s cheap so I don’t care about it too much.

We've got three Brand X post in the garage, varying ages and all work well still. One is feeling a little rough but it's over two years old and never been serviced.

I have literally just ordered a new V2 Oneup and the 'Santa Cruz' actuator for my FlareMAX as I want more drop and the Brand X 170 is to long. Couldn't get the normal actuator to play nice with the frame.

Just bought a brand x from start fitness for £90 delivered. It's a seat post that goes up and down and brand x seemed to have made a simple design that lasts.

Save the money and upgrade something else that will improve performance like wheels etc.

I now have two Brand X posts. I have Wolftooth levers for them. They are brilliant!

I have a 125mm internal 31.6 Fox Transfer post in the classifieds thats only been used a handful of times. I bought it new to fit a warranty replacement Santa Cruz Chameleon. Then I decided I didn’t want the Chameleon anymore and sold it.

Long as possible, it's the biggest and most useful difference between any 2 posts imo. Brand X are awesome value but you might well find you can squeeze in a longer post with One Up

Had a few internal and external route Brand X. Can’t fault them for the money. I’m ordering a One-up for my Bronson as I want a longer drop, the only reason I’m awapping from brand X. If Brand X did a 200mm+ dropper Id buy one.

I have a Reverb, because I found a pretty good deal about a year ago, but if I was looking now I'd definitely go for OneUp V2.

I've gone from a Reverb to 2 Brand X's. Both have been faultless (as was the Reverb tbf!).

For the cash: and the warranty / backup from CRC - I'd get another Brand X.

I’ve got a Cranks Bros one from CRC - they’re £150 now, 31.6 stealth 150 drop. Haterz will hate but it’s honestly really nice!

Love my 9point8… so much so that I've ordered a longer one and mine is up for sale. 31.6 x 150mm drop. PM me if interested.

No oil so all it needs is a bit of grease every 6 months in a 5min seal inspection. Great service vids available, and completely maintainable at home.

I have a 9point8, dreadful thing. Seals went and replacement parts are £100 fitted.

It’s never worked particularly well apart from the first month.

Fox Transfer on the other hand, 2trs and zero issues. I will be replacing the 9point8 with a Fox this weekend and binning the old post.

bikeyoke revive, i've used a reverb(twice replaced under warrenty although the 3rd one was reliable), a transfer and a raceface turbine which i then swapped for the revive. better than any of the others i had and really easy to service as well.
