Hello hive mind, I need your collective genials in my face with what stuff is called/good nowadays.
In a knobshell, the Voodoo needs a new everything but the drive is the priority. It currently has a Powerspline BB with English threads and entry level SRAM 1x11 setup. In a former life I’d have XT’n’shizz but there’s no beans for that anymore.
The BB weighs a ton and HTII doesn’t seem to exist any more. What the flip is DUB? No don’t bother.

I need your cost effective upgrade suggestions please.

Powerspline BBs are crap, so I'd try and upgrade there. Do you know the BB shell width? If it's 68/73 rather than bloody stupid pointless boost then you've got all the choice in teh world really but old shimano is probably about the best you can do...

Yep it’s a 68/73 shell. 118mm axle though. Huge!

+1 for Deore if you feel like a full drivetrain

The 11 Speed offering is excellent too. And having used XT 12 Speed and Deore 11 Speed. I’d go Deore but I’m not fussy about that sort of thing.

BB shell sizes are the same for boost/non boost - still 68/73mm.
It's the chainring offset that's different.

Had a similar conundrum on my Bokor. Got an XT crankset and BB and sold the old SRAM NX one second hand.

But yeah if you want a whole group set just get deore.

Not quite right, I got sent a Deore crank that was boost(should have been non boost) and the spindle/shaft was longer and it included 2 spacers that would fit either side of the BB(on the outer face of the BB )to make up the difference.
