As I cocked it up on my last bike by putting a green frame with blue finishing kit I've decided to put it to the vote for the current frame....

The only difference from the photo is that it's now sporting an all black pair of revelations.

Do I continue on the stealthy route and get black hubs and finishing kit or do I enhance the blue bits on the frame and get blue hubs etc?

You won't get a blue to match, so black.

Granted it does look a little clean and unused.

Anything but black hubs is a certain road to regret. Decent hubs outlast bikes.

Also, you're mean singlespeedstu 😆

I accessorisied my black parts with a yellow frame.
The problem with trying to add colour is that, unless you get the bits from the same supplier, the colours won't be the same and you'll end up with lots of different shades.

First thing i do with Stan's rims is de-sticker em. That all black above would certainly benefit from this and costs nowt!

This is what I done last time ...

I can't see the problem with it myself.

I had contemplated removing the stickers to complete the stealth look. I'm only sorry the dropper doesn't have a black finish like the Pikes.

How do you find the rear shock on that then domderbyshire.

My ctd shock is on its way back from mojo as we speak after being retuned to stop it blowing through its travel.

Considering a monarch if it hasn't been cured but also looked at your shock to.

+1 for all black.

I've just sold 2 year old wheels with red hubs, that weren't very red anymore in favour of black.

(Hope BTW)

Renton, it's early days as I've only ridden the bike twice since completing the build. Initially I found the shock a bit harsh, but I had not adjusted the air pressure from the previous owner or dialled it in at all. Now I have, it feels plusher. I'm very light, so I don't think I'll ever blow through all the travel. The main issue with it is the ridiculous placement of the rebound adjust dial. Last time I wanted to adjust it I used a twig as anything metal marks it. Crazy on such an expensive piece of kit.

Thanks for that. I agree about the rebound dial. It looks like an afterthought to be honest !!
