Well, it's not all new as some bits came from my Felt F65x but it is pink! Looking forward to riding and racing it 🙂

Frameset is Trek Crockett (my first Trek!)
Wheels - Stan's Crest, Stan's 3.30 Front, Novatec Rear, Sapim Race, Terra Pro tubeless tyres
Groupset - Ultegra 6800 with some prototype 685/785 hyraulic shifters/calipers, Wheels Manufacturing BB
Finishing Kit - S-Works Seatpost & stem, cheap Spesh bars from my Tarmac, Toupe Expert saddle, Lizard Skins DSP tape. Still undecided on pedals.

Why prototype - Have you had them a while? How did you find bleeding them?

Why prototype

Because they were free 🙂 Have had them a few months, they work well. I didn't bleed them myself, let one of my workshop colleagues have that pleasure (didn't look particularly arduous though)

Free? Nice!
I bled mine - compared to the old MTB ones they were a right pain to get right!
Just wondered if you had any tips 🙂

Not really! Syringe at caliper end, funnel at lever end and move fluid back and forth until no bubbles come out is my guess 🙂

Very well indeed. Have done 4 races this season and no issues.

what kind of pressures are you running?

About 24psi on my pump. I'm rather fat (90+kg) so wouldn't really want to go much lower. On my local rocky trails then I run about 40psi (used to run 70psi with tubes and still got pinch flats. I'm clumsy as well as fat!)

No dropper? I thought all new bikes posted here had to have a dropper?

They look a better mud option than the vittoria I'm running in this seemingly very muddy winter to come!

I was running Vittoria XG Pro but the rear was very worn so needed a change anyway. It coincided with all of the rain arriving 🙂

It's got 2 chainrings and a front mech too!

That cable inner must be nearly long enough to drag along the ground! 😉

I feared when I clicked this I'd have to rant about CX bikes not having mud guards, panniers and generally commuter crap. But no, we have a real CX bike, with a proper CX chainset, proper tyres and no unnecessary paraphernalia. It's great to see and it's a lovely looking bike.

Splitting hairs it's still not got tubs 😉

They are sorted frames crocketts. Really good mud clearance and no chainstay brace on a race frame. It's s ruddy miricle.

How did you find the fit of the Terra's on the crests please? Need to replace my Hutchinson Toros which are silly tight to fit and a bit of a pain.

I used to run tubs (Terra Pros) but for a fat knacker at the back end of a cross field there's no disadvantage to me running tubeless. In fact, I think it's better as I'm certain that I'm less likely to puncture. I can also happily use the same wheels/tyres for any other riding I do on the bike 🙂

They went on really easily and pumped up first time without any sealant.

I know! Will sort when I can be arsed 🙂
