Im wanting some new cranks without breaking the bank,
Ive seen the hones and LX which dont look fantastic but whats the main diffrence between them an SLX an XT from 2010.
if its just weight then ill go cheap since my bike weighs a ton,
Just looking for some tough cranks with no flex its mainly peeks and trail centers i ride but of to les arcs on mi hard tail with them in summer.
any help apriciated
Hones and LX are the same, just different colours. Hone was discontinued a couple of years ago or more.
SLX and XT has carbon fibre support for the middle ring, so is a bit lighter.
If the Hone/LX is a lot cheaper then go with that, there is nothing wrong with it.
cheers apart from weight i cant understand how there can be that much diffrence as long as its stiff as my current one flexes and Im sure any big drops and itll snap and that will have face hitting floor writen all over it.
