Been commuting to work on my bike for about 18 months now, and on my new c456 since christmas (Well once the weather let me). Brought a second set of cheap wheels from Rose cycles so that i didn't have to change tyres all the time. Ended up being just as much a pain to swap wheels as i had to realign the brakes everytime. Also didn't want to leave my new bike locked up outside the gym. so not been going to the gym as much recently, just the days i decide to drive (basically either when the weather was bad or maybe once or twice a week otherwise).
So decided to get myself a second bike just for commuting that i didn't really care about too much, already had loads of bits that i'd taken off my previous bike when i'd upgraded parts, so didn't think i'd need too much.
Brought a frame off here from heist182 for £50+postage, had a set of OnOne forks i brought from here a while ago for £20 too, and already had the wheels, tyres, Cassette, disc, Stems, Shifters, Grips, pedals, seat post, seat, and a front mech.
So didn't need that much more really. After shopping around i decided to order similar parts to what i've been using for the past year or so. Shimano Brakes (Cheapest, but surprisingly good), Deore HT2 Cranks, Sram 970 chain, and took a risk with a X3 8 speed rear mech (running 9 speed), shimano cables. All ordered from Rose Cycles for about £140 delivered. Then got a Funn Fatboy from CRC for £10 to finish it off.
I'm pretty pleased with it too be honest, First commute to work on it today and it ran great.

Just need to get a new Charge Spoon saddle to match the c456, and maybe a chain device so that i can loose the old front mech, as i'm running 1x9 anyway, with a 42t front.
Feels really quick on the roads compared to the 456 too. Only problem is i built it up as a bike that i wasn't suppose to care about too much, and could leave locked up outside. But i really like it now and it's going to be difficult leaving it unattended....Good job i've got a good lock i guess.
Looks good but why green grips??
Because I already had them from a previous bike, probably not bother changing them till i need too. But will choose a better colour when the time comes.
Looks too good/nice to be a commute bike!
