Just went on CK's site and seen they're offering new "Threadfit 24" bottom brackets as of this month, to replace the current MTN & Road units. From what I've gathered, this is convenient from King's end to make the same universal cups across the board for as many riding genres as possible... but they must use adaptors.
Is this not a downgrade from their current MTB BB? I could be wrong and am open to correction but, the adaptors are another added part for creak/wobble to develop and grime to get trapped.
It seems like smart business move, but is it a better product physically than the current one?
What are your thoughts?
