Looks like I need to replace my juicys now. Can I use My old rotors and levers per chance? For info juicy 7 levers and 5 calipers. I want something better than these that won't break the bank

Rotors and mounts yes. Levers not really worth doing and they won't be compatible with anything apart from other juicy bits. £90 for a pair of new style deore brakes from either merlin or je james on a budget for me.

SLX or XT I'm thinking but is the step up from deore worth it.

Pook, are you saying the step up from Avid to ANY Shimano brake is great, or that SLX/XT is worth it over Deores?

Personally, I have the Deores, and at £70 a set they are the bees knees.
