Just finishing building my 650b Heckler, all I need is a set of brakes!
Had a set of Tech M4 brakes 3/4 years ago - what is the equivalent brake in the Hope line up now?
Anybody know of any good deals?
Thanks

Go for XT or even better XTR if your budget allows

Steve.
I have XT the new version.

Pro
Huge power
Lighter than hope.

Cons
Less adjustable then hope.
Can't get parts, if you break a caliper or seal you need a new complete caliper. Hope you can get the parts at a few quid not a new caliper at tens of quid.
Bite point adjuster is useless....
On off nature (Hopes have far better modulation).

I only got mine because they were mega cheap from Rose.

Lots of people love them, but I've had two calipers fail and piss fluid everywhere mid-ride, once on the way down the red route from Arc 1800 to Bourg St Maurice, which was disappointing.

My new Trance has come with M446 brakes, they feel the same as the XTs, lots of power, and about the same price as an XT caliper for the whole setup.....

As soon as they fail they will be replaced by Hope...
