So my poor used & abused Guide RSC's should probably be retired to my pub bike after yet another crash & more damage. They have done a great service, and looking to replace them with something nice.

They are on a big bike, so power is important, as is modulation. I don't like Shimano, and I don't like Hope. Budget is fairly open ended, but I draw the line at spunking a grand on some Trickstuff kit. Oh, and I would like them to be light too.

Given I can get another set of Ultimates for sub £300, should I just stick with what I know?

MT7’s? Not sure how they’d stand up to repeatedly crashing though! 😈. Apparently they’re meant to take the impacts better than the idea of composite master cylinders might suggest but it’s something that would worry me.

That said, I’m happy with MT Trails and alloy single finger levers, so kinda putting my money where my mouth is!
