As per usual what you should not due is try and perform maintenance or new part installations the night before a ride. I've still not learnt my lesson 🙂
Anyway, my new Shimano 180mm rotor and adapter arrived today. So I decided to fit it but no matter how many times I re-did the rotor installation and played with caliper alignment there always seemed to be a slight kink in the rotor.
Is this usual? Do I just tru it? Anyone else had this?
I got hacked off in the end and re-fitted the original rotor
It's not unusual. You can normally straighten it back with a careful bit of thumb pressure.
Thanks druidh, I'll try again in the morning. Had enough for one night.
To be honest I'm wondering if the 180mm rotor will be overkill in the first place.
If it's not broke.....
