You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Just wanted to say hi to you all from the new boy on the block, well not so much a boy more an old man but young at heart. Now that I have taken early retirement I am getting more time to ride. I am in the West Essex area so don't have much in the way of decent MTB riding (but hang on isn't the MTB olympic event in Essex next year) however I do have have Dagenham Chase/Eastbrook Country Park on my doorstep which is good for a quick blast at any time and a little further away I have Thorndon Counrty park which does have some single track.
Thats all for now look forward to posting in the future:

Hello and good luck 😉
Woh woh woh....early retirement you say? Wrong forum sir, we're all sickeningly young and unapproachably handsome.

Just so we know where to pigeonhole you
Q - Muammar Gaddafi, good guy or bad guy?
Welcome. Just remember, warton warned you to flee, it's too late now 🙂
Thanks for your welcomes (I think?). mcboo I haven't been called sir in a long time but please do carry on it has a rather nice ring to it as for the good guy/bad guy "Bad Guy".
Do you wear a helmet?
How's your garden looking?
Are your valves aligned with the logos?
Do you ride an unusual 29er single speed half fat bike?
If the answer to any of these is yes or no, you'll be fine. Welcome to the best forum I've found. Even better than mumsnet, but only slightly less opinionated.

That's all well and good, but do you dance?
I have been known to, but would rather be playing in the band for other people to dance.
What bike(s) do you own? Which is your favourite?
I have an old Raleigh Town and Country (must be nearly 25 years old now) which I used for comuting, my MTB bike is a Giant Talon 1 hard tail and have had that for a couple of years, I have also just got my wife interested and have bought her a Cannondale Trail SL3.
The Talon is obviously my favourite its quite short which makes it very responsive.
